PGP key management
Private.Ki handles PGP keys in the background for encryption, but you also have control and visibility through Private.Ki's key management features.
Too access key management, go to Settings:
Click on Key Management:
Your PGP public key
Your PGP public key, which has been generated for you at sign-up, can be easily exported in Key Management. Just click on Export public key:
Your key download will start immediately, and you will find your key in the Downloads folder of your browser.
It's safe to share your key. Read more about key export here.
Public keys of others
You will also see the public keys of others that you have imported:
These are public keys of others (non-Private.Ki users) that you have imported. You can send encrypted emails to all of these.
You don't need to import keys for Private.Ki users - we'll automatically handle that for you. You can send encrypted emails to any Private.Ki user without any key exchange.
In case you'd like to remove any imported key, just click on the 3 dots in the row of the key that you'd like to delete:
Then, click on Delete key:
The selected public key will be permanently deleted, and you will not be able to send encrypted mails to this email address any more.
