Logging out
Logging out of Private.Ki is important especially on shared or public devices to ensure no one can access your account after you’re done.
To log out, just click on Logout:
When logging out, your Private.Ki session will be terminated immediately, and you need to log in again (and enter your passphrase again, if you have set one) to access your account.
When to Log Out?
Always log out:
On public or shared machines (library computers, school labs, friend’s computer, workplace shared PC).
On your own device if you know someone else might use it (say you sometimes let your child use your laptop).
If you suspect any compromise, log out and back in (and maybe change password).
If you simply want to ensure a fresh start next time (maybe you changed some security settings which apply on new login, etc.).
If you’re switching accounts on the web (if you have two accounts and you want to change to the other one, you’d log out then log in as the other.
