Password recovery

Forgetting a password can happen to the best of us – but because of Private.Ki’s strong encryption, recovering access to your account requires some planning.

You can only recover your password if you have set a recovery email address. Without it, there is no way to recover your password, and all of your data may be lost, in case you can't remember the password. Read here how to add a recovery email address to your account. By the way, you can also ways change your password while you're logged in to your account.

Here's how to reset your password when you're not logged in and you can't remember it:

On the login screen, click on Forgot password? :

On the next screen, enter your Private.Ki email address and your recovery email address:

We don't save your recovery email address unencrypted, that's why you have to enter it. After that, click on Submit.

If your input was correct, you'll receive an email with a code on your recovery address. It looks like this:
